If you don’t already know about how she erased Indigenous peoples to create that whole Fantastic Beasts world y’all love, I suggest you go do some Google searching.
JKR said that colonial-era Native peoples only had a wild magic that couldn’t be easily controlled due to their primitive understanding. They didn’t have schools like Hogwarts because they were so primitive, so the English had to make Ilvermorny for themselves. She also included some Grade A anti-Irish bullshit in the worldbuilding and backstory. Not to mention the savage Indians eventually get civilized in the boarding schools the nice colonizers built for them. Nothing to read into there.
JKR also stole cultural and religious symbols to create the houses for this school that non-Native people all over the world now believe belong to them or were created by a white woman. Thunderbird, Wampus Cat, Horned Serpent, and Puk-Wudjie are not just random creatures that JKR made up. She stole them from Native cultures.
Anyone who challenges her on Twitter gets blocked. When you try to point this racism out to her fans, you get attacked. But we have been telling y’all this for years.
